Colors, patterns and textures have intrigued me since I was a little girl growing up in India.  More than 15 years ago, I brought my passion to the United States, where I flourished as a young designer; first as a student at Fashion Institute of Technology and later in various top flight companies in the industry including NUNO, Robert Allen, Aid to Artisans and Richloom.

As my experience in the U.S. grew, so did my desire to bring my rich textile heritage from India to my own design sensibility. To realize that dream, I moved to Bangalore, India where I founded Azure, a design and

weave studio, which enjoyed such clientele as Calvin Klein Home, Jack Lenor Larsen and Donghia. It was at Azure that I began to develop my own unique look for my fabrics, which I like to call ‘Modern Traditional.’ My designs have a contemporary aesthetic combined with traditional textile techniques.

At Seema Krish Collection we are dedicated to working with the craft of textile production and are committed to producing fabrics that have a soul and speak of the maker and the craftsperson, with minimal environmental impact.
